This is my second take on the earring of Sheryl Nome from Macross Frontier. The prototype had a frame that's too angular and small, and was wired with beading wire (yikes).
I couldn't find a square-shaped blue crystal (well I did find one but it looked loads cheap), so I settled for an oval shaped one. The metal frame is not made of metal (how I wish it was though), it's some metallic plastic material that I see in other women's earrings. I bought a large oval-shaped one, cut out the shape, and bent it a bit to add some volume to it. That means if I sat down on this earring, there is a chance that it will get bent  The purple jewel is made out of glass, already available in that exact shape in the bead shop. Sorry, not for sale, I don't sell jewelry that's not in good quality. The frame might get damaged even through shipping! |
